Cosworth ABS Sensor Testing
I have an ABS fault on my 1993 Cosworth which I think is one of the sensors playing up. Is there anyway to test the sensors so I can pin point which one is faulty?
Thanks
Thanks
As far as I can remember, disconnect the plug for the sensor (under the rear seat and in the engine bay) and test the ohms readings on each sensor. They should all read about the same. I think it is about 1100ohms or similar. PM Dojj if you want, as he will remember off the top of his head.
I agree with the above, if the abs light remains on when stationary it is easy to test the sensors, if one is open circuit it is knackered, if they are all ok then check the wiring. if light goes off when stationary but comes on when driving the check on the sensors is a little more complex but all is explained in the technicians manual.
Thanks for the replies, the ABS light stays on when the car is stationary so I should be able to test fairly easily.
Will pm Dojj to see if he can confim test method, hopefully it is just a sensor and nothing to serious.

Okay, tested the front abs sensors today and got a reading of 1092 ohms on bot the left and right hand sides.
Tested the rear sensors and got a reading of 1096 ohms from the left hand rear but couldn't get a reading from the right hand rear. Going to change this sensor and see if that sorts the problem.
Anyone know where I can get a replacement sensor from, as cheap as possible?
