has anyone put a 1600 zetec into a mk4 escort? i want to keep it transverse, if so was it a difficult conversion and would there be any custom parts needed? thanks guys

theres a how to in the piccys room of a 2.0zetec into an orion, that'll sort you out, its pretty well written.

For a 1.6, the all aluminum Zetec-S is a much better starting point.

 

im going for the 1600 to stay in the 1600 class in rallying, going to use the silver top zetec coz its what iv got

 

your better off with a cvh then if you have to stay n/a and 1600cc easier to tune + more bits availabe i.e performance heads etc. best to strip the zetec of its oil pump, sump pick up pipe and baffel plate and sell em for people doing 2l conversions then scrap the rest.
