Default cvh rev counter wiring

i'v had this rev counter in an frst engined ka for a while now, but because its a 4 cylinder rev counter rather than 2 cylinder, i need to use both feed wires from the coilpack, if i just use the 1 then the rev counter only reads half what it should, but if i use the 2 wires then the rev counter reads right but its basically bridging the 2 wires and doesnt run right as if its firing on all 4 cylinders all the time.

i'v been told that there is some sort of diode you can get to stop it feeding back? is this right? if so what do i need?

any help much apprechiated.

i got told on here, you basicly need to put the diode 1n4004 in line on both wires, then put it onto one. aparently this works, however, it did not for me

if you do work it out PLEASE pm me! im on a man hunt for a 2 cylinder rev counter now to try and sort it!
