Help with fuel leaks
have a Fiesta Zetec TDCi '03. She has always went perfectly until now, actually she has been a treasure to have. Apart from a recent really bad sound from the injectors.
Got it serviced and new washers put in injectors, but tank of diesel emptied in middle of MOT. 2 weeks ago put in 4 new injectors at a cost of just over £500. Drove it for week ok. On way to work it started smoking. Tank emptied again from round engine area. Mechanic towed away, valves had opened and stuck so this was fixed and a small crack in one of fuel lead pipes. Next morning after driving approx 10 miles same thing again. Lots of smoke and my full tank of diesel on the road, all again from engine area. Clip from pipe not replaced my mechanic thought and he purchased clip and some diesel as he believed this his fault. He drove it to me and the diesel emptied as he was handing over keys.
He took it away and replaced injectors, no difference. Cleared valves, etc but then an error message came on EAC. It came up with lots of error messages, he got these all cleared went to drive it and it would not go past 30mph.
He put his hands up as he was baffled. He took it to a 'named' garage who tested it further for errors. It was discovered that an electrical wire was broke and they checked everything again including all the other sensors.
Gave it a clean bill of health. Mechanic drove it back to me, with another big bill. They didn't park it in driveway so I went out to move it.
As I parked I noticed it starting to smoke, no diesel spill then. An hour later there is definite diesel leak, although small at present under the engine area.
This car passed MOT, is 5 yr old with only 56k on her yet has cost over 1000 in last fortnight and has been with 2 different garages, both with good reputations
Any ideas what I do now?
The leak is always behind the the engine towards the top around the 3 fuel pipes which lead into the engine, as this always has a well of diesel. It is definitely not the fuel pump it has been replace 3 times and I watched twice because I doubted them. Everything from the fuel cap to the brakes have been checked and I like the car so much I don't want to have to change

You have paid a garage to do the repair work, the problem is their problem, what they have replaced so far is ridiculous, you have this option or take it to someone who is not a moron and does know what they are doing, look in yellow pages for diesel specialists.
