Default mot fail (rear bushes)

going to use this mot failure as an excuse to do all the bushes on my cossie , already powerflexed all the front end , just after some feedback on what way to go on the rear ?? have got some koni adjustable rear shocks already purchased which will be getting fitted too .

cheers
gaz .

best way gaz is to drop the whole rear end on the deck and assemble from there.
just disconnect the prop shaft from the diff, the handbrake cables and the break pipes. then the two donut bolts and the diff mount and lower the whole lot on a jack.
you will more than likly have to cut the old bushings out of the suspension arms. instalation of the new powerflex donuts are a bit difficult and u may need a vise to squeeze them in. and when finally installing the rear suspension in total you may discover that the original donut bolts appear to be to short, all you do is push them in with a bit of effort until you get a bite on the thread and tighten up fully.

cheers for reply , sounds like a pig of a job , looking at the failure sheet , it only says the trailing arm bushes have excessive play so may just get them poly bushed ? still thinking over whether i would benefit from doing the lot and how much extra hassle it would be to do .

Every sierra I have ever owned I polybushed ALL the rear, never had a problem at all, until I used a powerflex beam bushes, then the vibration was bloody mental, put in some escos ones I had with GGR axle tightening kit, by far the best combo I have ever used.
Had another sierra on all poly but superflex/deflex mix was ace no vibration at all.
