can you run a wideband controller on a l8 closed loop ecu or has it got to be a narrowband.
i have conflicking reports any help would be much appreciated.

Narrow band only... although some wide band kits also give a narrow band simulated output which you can use.

 

as above. a narrow band lambda sensor gives an output from 0 - 1 V that changes very sharply around lambda = 1



most wideband controllers can give an output that simulates that, so can be used for both tuning and AFR monitoring, and closed loop fuelling

There are loads to choose from, with very different prices, so make a list of what YOU want from an ecu and compare specs/prices.
Look also for back up/advice available should there be questions/problems, future upgrades.
I have just got for the one which I like the best for me, emeraldm3d.com I have the K3 from these people, and live about 500 metres away !
