Im building a zetec turbo engine for my cabby and just got a stainles turbo manifold from the states..But cant make up my mind what intake to use .in my shead i have

1..Fiesta rsturbo
2..Rover turbo
3..bike throttle bodies

I know with a n/a engine throttle bodies are a good thing so am wondering if its the same with turbo
Im thinking of mounting the throttle bodies then fabricating some sort of plenum intake.I will be running sportscams and stake 2 head.

Has anyone done such a mod or am i barking up the wrong tree so to speak

done a quick search but ive not come up with anything yet

 

Dunno but bump to the top id love tbs and turbo dunno if it can be done though.

 

Its possible to use TB's and a turbo.

Makes mapping more difficult potentially though, depending on what ECU you are planning on using?

 

It's possibly n/a bike TB's won't be air-tight though for boosted applications.

Mapping is a pain in the arse..

 

i once saw a red fiesta mk3 with a zetec turbo in fast ford mag, which also had throttle bodies. the plenum looked a right PITA.

it wasnt running loads of boost so was only about 220-230bhp ish.

personally i dont see the point of it, its overcomplicating things for the sake of it.

 

how do you intend to stop scuttle shake on the cabby ?

Really interested in this to hear how you intend to overcome the issues im having.
