Hi guys i've recently converted my escort rs turbo s2 to efi, i've just today fitted the whole EFI inlet manifold from the fiesta turbo. i have the ofac ecu and map sensor, and the act sensor fitted. the problem i'm having is the car starts runs for about 2 seconds then cuts out, it keeps doing this and im not sure why. any help would be greatly appreciated. Is the fuel pump running after priming ?

 

i'm not sure mate when u turn the ignition u can hear it, and when it cuts out u can hear it again. Thats the only thing i havent changed thou, its still got the XR3I fuel pump. Im gonna get a uprated fiesta turbo one next month. That wouldnt make it run shit thou would it ?

 

If something is telling it so switch off, because it cant see the engine running yes.

Could be other things though, thats just one line to persue and make sure its ok

 

hi mate i've finally had some joy with my rs, i had to swap 2 wires round on the ecu and then it started first time and ran for about 5 mins then cut out. I started it again and pulled the tps sensor plug off and it ran fine for a good half hour ticking over, it was a bit smokey (Blue) and missing slightly but it didnt cut out and would rev up ok. Now obviously i've still gotta get the fuel pump sorted but would i be able to get the car setup on the rollers without the tps plugged in. Obviously im gonna get one im just thinking if moneys tight could it be done and then get the tps after. thanks again mate
