Default coolant temp problem?

anyone help me on this one?
my engine gets hot but the expansion tank water is stone cold? the water is circulating from the pump as all the other hoses are hot apart from the one going to the expansion bottle the thermostat seems to be fine but half the rad seems hot and the other half cold?

sounds like a blocked pipe or even an air lock?
Have you bled the system?

pipes seem ok wondering about the air lock do you know the easiest way to bleed the system on these?

have you removed any pipe's or had anything around the cooling system changed or owt?

are the heaters hot and when idling is the water bobbing up and down
also is the over flow pipe flowing when you rev the engine

heaters are hot, water in header tank seems to be static and cold! as for the overflow i havnt tried that to be honest??
i was wondering if the stat had stuck or something??

if it was stuck fella it would over heat are all the pipes hot and if you squeeze any pipes does the water in the header tank bubble up
also when the cars cold blow through the filling neck and c if you can here the water rushing through

yeah its not overheating if anything it staying quite cool all the pipes are hot bar the one to the header tank if you press them the water rises in the tank
its really strange???

no probs fella
take the top pipe off and c if the over flow pipe in the water tank is not blocked ive had that before
also blow down the over flow pipe and c if that does anything
it sounds like a blocked rad as you ssat half is hot and the other half is cold

you could be right as the overflow pipe is brand new so no blockage there?
but what is strange is all the other hoses from the rad are hot bar the one to the header tank?

connect the fan how it should be and let the car warm up the stat might not open as it is still cold if that makes sense lol

just remove the wire thats being used to bridge the connections over

gotta be worth flushing rad and changing the coolant, and the fan switch sorting
