CV boot
hi,
my cv boot gaitor has split and with the car being off the road it has had no use with it and now its is nearly impossible to move the wheel, takes 2 people to push the car on the flat.
So is it a question of cleaning it up refilling with grease and replacing the gaitor?
Or new whole CV joint?
It the drivers side outter on FRST if that makes a difference
Thanks

Depends how bad the split was, how much grease it lost, a gaiter is often fine.
The car may just have rusted discs stopping it from being pushed easy, they all rust when left, even overnight if it rains!!
If you wet your finger and put it on a hot disc, it will hurt!!, but when water has been cooked seconds later you will see small brown spots of rust!
