Hello,

i have a fitting problem with my greys. the adaptor rings do not fit.
the inner diameter of the rings is 7,5 mm. and the diameter of the injectorpart the rings have to slide onto is 7,8 mm. so can you tell me whats wrong please? is it the wrong kit? i have it from burtonpower. or are there different grey injectors with different dimensions available? i have 0280150403, i think that should be correct. or is it an interference fit and the rings must be pressed on the injectors? can not believe that. 0,3 mm interference is way too much. i will destroy the injector when trying to force the rings on.

when fitting greys 403's on the Cosworth do remember to leave the cap of the bottom of the injector

Hello,

i am not talking about the BOTTOM (you mean the blue plastic "bushing" i guess). i know that this blue plastic shroud or bushing or whatever must be removed
i am talking about the TOP. and there is nothing to leave. like i said. the top cylindrical part of the injector has 7,8 mm diameter, and the adaptor rings have 7,5. that does not work without massive force. will i have to drill out the rings? i don`t thinks so.

I was talking to peeps who fit them in general mate! and by the sounds of it your rubber seals are the wrong ones you been supplied and nope to the drilling out tbh!

if the rubber seals are wrong it is not that big problem, because they are elastic. steelrings are not. i also think that drilling out is rubbish.

so if there are no different grey injectors with different dimensions, the only solution is a wrong fitting kit...
