Putting S2 Escort RS turbo brakes on Mk2 Orion
Hello again, I have a friend that will change his rs turbo brakes with cossie 283mm, and I am guessing if I can mount the s2 front calipers and disks in my Mk2 Orion.
I think the caliper should mount directly on the hub. Am I correct? Also can I use my orion brake hoses? I have goodridge braided hoses and I want to use it with the new brakes.
Thanks in advance

It's a direct fit, caliper + disc. Nothing else needs changed. The downside is that the car will become a bit more front biased of it wasn't enough to start with. I'd recommend fitting S2 rear drumms as well if you can find some for good money.

Thanks for the response. In the rear I think my drums are the same as the S2, I have the wider shoes, and In fact , I feel that the car brakes too on the rear, and is a little tail happy. Because that I thought fitting rs turbo calipers and disks is a good idea.

Okey, then when I need new drums rear, I can buy s2 items and mount directly. Another thing interesting would be mounting discs also on the rear, with the sierra calipers.

I remember that when I buyed my rear shoes and calipers, there where various diameters of piston, and I buyed the bigger one. Also my model has the wider shoes.
In fact when during hard braking is very easy on my car blocking the rear wheels.
Because of that I think that slightly bigger calipers and disks in the front will be better.
