Arrow Idle Control Valve

It's really knackered on my 2.0 Zetec, revs take ages to come down.

Bought a new pattern one off Ebay but it didn't work at all, car didn't idle full stop, in fact was the same as when original was diconnected. Sent it back and got a replacement and it was the same!

It looks and fits the same.....
Any ideas? Electrically different? Batch of snidey copies?

Have you tried cleaning your original one first to see if it makes any difference?
You could have a small air leak somewhere.

Cleaning the original didn't help at all.... next stop must be sourcing a used one.

Ford were talking about there being a few possibles bacuase of emmissions codes (?), which made me think maybe the ebay one was wrong... even though it was listed as one for all....

Have you checked the "T" piece, under the inlet to the side ?
Have you tried pinching the PCV valve pipe whilst running ?
