Default pinto cam

Hi,
I cracked a piston in my pinto so i swoped it with another pinto engine which has a recon head. I have removed the piper camshaft which i was running from my old engine and put it in my new engine. I cant get the cam to time up in the new engine. The difference between the two engines as far as i can see is the numbers on the block. the old one was 205 and the new one is 165.

any help will be great.

165 is transit, will time up exactly the same.
What precisely is the problem ?
