X Flow Spark but no Start
I have a 1600 X Flow in my Westfield and it won't start. I used to have an intermittent misfire so maybe it's related. This showed itself when first starting from cold, when it would be missing, then after a few minutes the misfire cured itself. Didn't happen always though.
Now it doesn't start at all, or even fire on anything. I checked the Luminition system as per its manual and on triggering it have a big spark from the HT lead which supplies the distributor, across 1cm to earth. When turning over, have thinner sparks across 1cm to earth from the HT. Spark plugs seem to have smallish sparks but not sure what they should look like.
Side draught Dellorto has fuel in the barrels.
New leads about a year ago, new dist cap about five years ago, original Lucas Sport coil about 18 years and 80,000 miles old. Not sure how to test the coil.
Any thoughts?
