Hi guys,I hope this is not to long winded.......

I have a puma and the tail gate lock does not work via the key,The lock on the drivers side only locks with the key and does not unlock,the passenger side lock and the ignition work fine.
Now the key fob does not work at all so i wanted to ask what i should do.....

On ebay I can get a lock set or on ebay there is a new key fob and another chap is selling the instructions to program the fob,I could then use the key fob to unlock the doors without the use of the key.

What would you recommend?

Have you got a spare key? You'll probably find it's just the key that's worn rather than all the locks.
Have you tried a new battery in the fob? Is there an LED indicator light on the fob to tell you it's working when you press the button?

 

Hi i was a locksmith a few years ago and when i was working on the fitting keys to ford tibbe locks the discs inside of the locks get very worn over time. If i was you mate just get the code of the key and get some new disc for the drivers door and for the tail gate lock it may just need cleaning out.
