Default camber issues and lowering; mk 4 escort

I have lowered my mk 4 escort escort approx 45mm; will this dramatically affect the camber i.e. will it wear through tires at a silly rate? I ask this as I heard it does affect it but for some reason, I have decided to ask now rather than later cheers

Will affect the TOE so get it reset, CAMBER does NOT wear out tyres TOE does.

Lowering the car 45mm will affect the handling and tyre wear.

On the rear, you can get shim kits (not just washers though please) which go between the rear stub and the rear knuckle. The rear camber should be about 1-1.5 degrees negative.

On the front, unless you get some adjustable lower arms, you will be stuck with about 3 degrees negative. This is too much (again about 1 degree negative is ideal).

Camber will affect tyre wear, although not to the same degree as toe. Also, too much front camber on standard road cars will cause twitchiness.

Remember though to set the rear camber and toe before going to the front. Then set the camber (if using adjustable arms) before setting the toe.

Also, set the toe to straight ahead / slightly toe-in as you will need to compensate for the lack of toe-in on turn under compression.

I ran 3 1/2 degrees negative on my old car with NO adverse tyre wear at all.

Probably also not the best set-up for a normale streetcar.. That's imo even high for a track car, but depence on what car...

just found that it is only down around the 30-35mm mark and for some reason, it is sitting high on one side on opposite sides (one front is slightly higher and one rear is quite a bit higher, opposite sides?)
