hi, i've been building a 1.8 zetec turbo engine & i've fitted 2.0L cams, the only problem i have is the exhaust cam pulley doesn't have a timing mark on it, is there any other way of finding the right timing position?

 

neither of the cams have a timming mark from standard you lock the cams off at the other end with a flat bar, that is tdc

 

cant you just mark it where it is with a little bit of paint and do it that way ??

yes i can, but i needed to know where tdc was to do that.

 

don't tighten the pulleys using the flat bar though, as you can break bits off the cam that way!
