Probably just a serpentine belt, ie MULTI RIBBED FLAT one ?
If so just changed as normal belt making sure to get it in all the grooves when refitting a new one.

There has to be a tensioner, often it is a device like the alternator that is moved to take up slack, but not always.

automatic tensioner located just below the alternator above the power steering pump.
all you will need is a 15mm spanner rotate the tensioner clock wise to relieve the tension & pop the belt off

I'm trying to fit my aux belt but the belt seems too small?
I know they should go on tight but when tensioner is fully rotated the belt still has a little way to go.

It's a 94 ford escort Z-Tec without aircon and the belt I was supplied was for my car without AC but all the diagrams I have looked at have one less pulley than my engine??

Confused?
