Default P100 engine change....

Hi,
I have the opertunity to buy a P100 1.8TD for next to nothing because the engine is F**Ked, the rest if the mechanicals and the shell have been maintained very well. My question is this I have a low milage (35K) mondeo 1.8TD Engine just lying around as you do and as far as I know there basically the same engine. Would it be a reasonably straight forward swap considering I'd be changing from transverse to inline?

I'm talking about in relation to wiring etc for example the P100 didn't use a air flow meter or an immobiliser...

as far as i know you might have to use the flywheel and spigot bearing of the p100 and use the diesel pump to of the p100 which only needs the 12 volt supply to run it advoid having to use the mondeos ecu and all that
