Default Non starting series 1

Series 1 has been fully stripped and rebuilt, (will add pictures when I can work out how to) I have tried to start it before moving house last year, now getting back round to trying to get it to start, symptons are it fires and runs for a few seconds (think thats the cold start fuelling it) but then cuts out, I have fitted a brand new fuel pump,The flap in the metering head bounces when cranking the engine over. I have tried holding the flap down and cranking the engine, fuels getting to the metering head but not down to the injectors, Can I/How do I bleed the injector lines ? All advise will be gratefully recieved as this car needs to see the road for the first time in 11 years this year.

I have cranked the engine over with the injector pipes disconnected from the metering head and fuel gets the the connection but not to the injectors.

common prob with k-jet /ke-jetronic is they like to be used, so when left standing for a long time the valve plunger sticks so the flap moves but the valve pushrod stay's in the closed possition, I have come across this prob loads of times with xr3i's, rs turbos, xr4is etc and how i solved prob was to take the metering head off the car, soak it with wd40, leave for a while and just keep playing with the flap until it moves freely. failing that its been known for the fuel in the pipes from the metering head to the injectors to gel up so unscrew the pipes off the injectors and run wd40 thru them as well, shud solve prob
