i have a 1997 escort cabriolet which i have just brought.It has been in storage for 8 months it is ldling funny it sit at a 1000rpm then drops to 500rpm trying to cut out.I have changed the spark plugs it runs a bit better have got a new oil and fuel filter to fit next weekend any body got any ideas whats wrong its a 1.8 zetec cheers

 

Probably be the Idle speed control valve.
