2.0 silver top pistons and rods.

2.0 silver top pistons and rods.
I'm trying to split the rod and pistons. But there a pressed fit. So do i need to heat the little end up and knock the pin out?
Any help woth be great help, cheers

The small end of the rod needs to be heated up and the pin to be pressed out but there is always a risk of you breaking the piston.

As said not best done DIY, I do mine with an ELECTRODE HEATER, but still a risk, best to pay a few notes to machine shop IMO.

Not overly fussed about the pistons one is knackered any way. its the rods i need

You will need to get them hot but not to hot so be careful

might email ian howell and see if when i have my little ends adapted if i can just send the whole pistons and rods and let him seperate them.
