Default Converting to auto?

Howdy folks!

I really fancy a Focus MK2 2.0TDCI! Only problem is I can only drive automatics due to certain problems!

I have a couple of questions

Would I be able to convert a 1.6 auto diesel to a 2.0 auto diesel?

if not....

Would I be able to convert a manual to an auto?

Obviously I know it's a crazy amount of work so any suggestions on who to get to do it would be very much appreciated! I know this will seem like a mad idea (sometimes I want to hit my head off the wall just for thinking of it in the 1st place) But I love the styling off the MK2 (Especially ST Kitted)

It's a shame I hate the look of the MK2.5 because it's finally got a 2.0 TDCI lump with the powershift gearbox!

Not really clued up on technical things so take it slow!

MUCH MUCH easier to go to a 1.6 diesel to a 2.0 diesel, petrol to diesel auto can be doine but a huge amount more work, as in gearbox won't be suited either so would be changed for diesel box, will have different ratios.
If the 1.6 and 2.0 are from the same family, likely to be a straight swap over of bits.

Thanks for your help! Looks like the search for a 1.6 auto TDCI is on!
