rs turbo trouble
hi peeps having trouble with my h plate rs turbo
when i start the car it seems to start then cut out again almost immediatley
the car will not idle if i press the accelarator a little and hold the car just over a 1000rpm
it runs but as soon as im off the accelarator it splutters and then cuts out
just had an mot on it to any ideas??

more than likely you have an air leak.in other words there is air gettin in after the the fuel metering valve plate which you can see when you remove the air filter.
check all the turbo hoses for loose clips and any air pipes that are on the inlet manafold.make sure the oil filler cap is a good fit, if you have a dump valve fitted then remove it and blank the hole just in case this is the problem.
see how you get on

i would say air leak aswell see if the hose on the meter unit is on tidy the breather comming from the rocker
i had a problem like that i was changing the bleed valve to a standard amel valve and accidenly pulled the breather off it was stumped for hours

did the mot station alter the fueling to get it throught the emmisions?
try adjusting the mixture screw(3mm allen key behind the air filter on metering head) 1/2 turn clockwise
