Runnin omex 600 management for a while now but never managed to get the rev counter working properly! Tried loads of different things but nothin seems to work......anyone know where i'm going wrong???? It's a 1990 erst on omex 600 management/coilpacks. Tried adjusting the different cranktooth patterns in the ecu settings and running a wire from the coilpack directly to the rev counter but only get half revs. Someone else must have had the same problem lol!!

If the tach don't read anything with the OMEX tach out, you might need a bit of inductive load to distort the signal for the orginal rev counter. There must be something on the OMEX manual about how to connect it to OEM rev counters as it's supposed to be a proper ecu.

You don't need to change the entire clockpad, just the rev counter. Normally that kind of stuff on ebay as new old stock.

Thanks for the replies guys....looks like an efi rev counter and playin with the ecu settings should sort it with any luck!! I have spoken to omex who sent me somethin to wire in line with the tacho output, a capacitor i think it was but didn't seem to work...hence why i've bin at a bit of a loss with it lol!!
Pin 11 of the EDIS is meant to be the easiest way but when i wired Chunt69's car for EFI i was damned if i could get that to work.
Another way is to use a simple diode network across both of the coil packs negatives and then connect it to your rev counter signal wire.
