Long story got focus 20 ltr ghia great car only vibration through the car front at hard acceleration. Changed the discs tried the shafts both sides and slowly but surley problem crept back although not as severe

I opened the box as i thought the amount of circular free play was too much for the joint into box. The offside is fine as it is a bolt in direct straight shaft. anyway the box internals looked fine but as i had me doubts about the odd oval free play from the existing diff carrier and plannet gears i swapped the internals for a late mondeo gear set. It has a longer taller set of ratios but as the gear casings are different i had to re use the focus outer casing new bearings of course. The whole lot back into the car new gear sets diff carrier and still a slight wobble.

The TIS cd rom manual disc is aware of this focus problem but lacks a solution has anyone else experienced or is suffering this any solutions please. Ill take a second hand box if anyone can vouch that its ok
