What turbo to use???
Im building a 2.1 zvh turbo for my escort, and im trying to decide which turbo to use. Many people say the t34 or t35. I'v been researching several turbos but i am stil abit unsure as to which turbo to use, and where to look for one?
From what iv been told, the t34 and t35's are from the cosworth? Whats the difference between the 2?
The standard Escort RST is a t3, and the fiestas use the t2 which i believe are to small?
The rs500's use the t4, which i think is too big?
Could anyone just explain which turbos come from where and what the power and lag outcomes are like. Also are their any others that would be better?
Id like somthing that will produce reasonable power, but that doesnt have too much lag?

This is the best thing to ask, ie WHAT POWER DO YOU WANT ?
As a rule go for the smallest turbo that will give the power reliably as you will have the least lag.
T34 and T35 are one and the same, large turbo escort cossie uses a T34, a lot of T3's are modded with a T34 trim wheel on the compressor side.
T2 can go on will give no lag really on an engine this size but will limit power considerably, T25 is used on 2 litre pug turbo's, and the small turbo escort cossie.
A decent spec T34, from a modded T3 with .48 housing(turbine) will have next to no lag, and still do 400bhp all day long.
