Default Removing the camshaft??

Hi,
Right I am removing the cam due to it being worn, problem is I cant get the pulley off so i can get the cam out. Everything i seem to try just turns the cam

Any ideas or how have you taken yours off

tap it lightly with a piece of wood,if your standin on drivers side tap it toward you,it will cum off eventualy.spray wd40 on it aswell

no i mean i cant undo the bolt on the pulley, how do i lock the dizzy end of the cam as i havent got the removal tool, you are fast becoming my saviour mate

put a lond screw driver through cam pulley and jam it underneath the head.

do i need to loosen the allan key bolts ontop of the cam housing??I need to take the followers out as well

undo all 8 rocker arms,keepin them in correct order,there is a locking plate at pulley end when you get pulley off undo the two 10mm bolts and lift plate out then push cam out.refitting just reverse what you have done.

wont the valve springs cause them to fly every where??

nope as the valve springs are locked on by collets.

the bolts i said are 10mm i think there actualy 8mm.

quality so just take all rocker arms off, stored them in order. Undo the pulley via brute force, take the plate out and push the cam out,, if thats right im off in the cold again

yeh but dont forget to take followers out aswell as you wont move the cam otherwise,you may need a pair of pliers to grab them as sumtimes they stick a bit.

dont forget to take the woodruff key out the old cam as you will need it to fit to your new one,its a half moon shape piece of metal on pulley end.
