changing mk3 to 4 anti roll bar to fit mk4 gearbox??

it will be possible as mk3 and mk4 share the same floorpan and a lot of other bits for that matter

no it doesnt work

the mark 4 gear box cradle bolt's to the front crossmember. which bolt's in a different place to a mark 3

you can put a mark 3 gear box in a mark 4.but not the other way round

if you want a 5 speed box. one out of a mark 5,6,7 escort will fit

thats what i was thinking lol thebn i went on a web site where the chap said he had used a series 2 rst box on a 16i anti roll bar? as this was the problem when i changed my last engine in mk mk3 from a mk4.

You would need the mk4 crossmember and more painfully, makes bolting points for it to the mk3 chassis. The RS1600i roll bar sits further forward than others possibly giving more room for the crossmember mounting.
