Default lost keys

hi
a mate of mine has a m reg ford mondeo 1.8 zetec, and has lost the keys.
hes phoned fords to find out price of getting new keys, and because of the price has decided to scrap the car in stead.
so now to my question and that is im thinking of having the car off of him just for the engine to put in my old anglia 105e. is there any way i can start the engine with out the keys, if so how do i go about it to over ride the transponder

many thanks
mark

If you're gonna put the engine in your anglebox, just stick it on mega jolt or something aftermarket for cheap, and you wont have top worry about the PATS

firstly you'll have to break steering lock if a piece of scaf bar is handy or something strong use that as a lever. next you need to take cowlings of and take back part of iggy barrel of and use a screw driver to use as a key, now depending on model, age etc you need to take power to where ever the engine is immobilised so that when you try to start it you'll in effect bypass it probably fuel pump and hey presto should work. we've bypassed a few at work when keys are lost with code in so we normally give reg in to fords and get the right key for locks etc but with no transponder in them for fiver then run a wire from acc on iggy to where ever is immobilised and that works too, pats systems are quite easy to get round.
