Hello all i am running a cvh 35k cam on my 89 s2 and it will only idle smoothly at between 1100-1200rpm is this normal or has the previous owner set something wrong

think he's got something wrong should tick over fine at normal revs. has it got vernier on it?

You need a vernier pulley with that cam if you dont already have one then you need a tuner to time it for you, I'm running the same cam in my 89 s2 and mine is fine hth
