have had this problem for a while now but cant track it down. its like a rummbling noise comming from the front drivers side. it sounds like a bearing fault but ive had it changed and didnt cure the prob. i can feel it slightly in the drivers footwell. could it be a fault with the transfere box? i know the discription is vague but dont know how else to discribe it. ill be gratefull for any help

it does change with speed. it gets faster. there is oil in box, the tyres are the same make and pattern. not sure about c.vs. ive done the usual checks i.e. driving in a circle on full lock, then the other way, the noise doesnt get any better or worse, only faster with speed. hope this makes sense. sought of sounds like a train. (bombom bombom bombom.) p.s. im not mad, just unsure of how to describe it.
