Hi again peeps,

my bro inlaw has fitted a turbo engine to his convertible escort, we cut in the whole front of the loom from the turbo so nothing is missing. But now the engine is running it appears to be overfuelling on 2 cylinders, from memory i thing it is 2 and 3. Is there anything common that would cause this to happen or is it possibly a more in depth problem?

if it is on an MFI setup, the two injectors could be blocked, the metering head could be malfunctioning.

if it is EFI, not a clue!

try swapping over the pipes and see if the problem moves cylinder. if so its a metering head fault if not its an injector fault. did it have this before?

 

ive got a similary problem with chucking black smoke out un burn fuel overfueling have swaped tps, injecter pipes fuel pump metering unit any suggestions any 1 ????????
