Hi, could do with a little help! i have a 4x4 cossie and had the head gasket done at the weekend and all seems to run ok till i give it some stick, i get two really big bangs and then just cuts out. But does start after and runs fine again. Any ideas?

have you checked the plugs or the map sensor

yes all plugs seem ok, could it be something to do with the phase sensor?
ill check the map sensor though thanks.

when mines donr this there was a split in the map sensor hose

Sounds like it my be overboosting
you got the pipes on the amal valve the right way round?.
or is the pipe to the actuator split?

right have a go at this my mate had the same as you have on a escort 4x4 cosworth and it was one of the wires going to the dizey it had brock right at the plug it was not till he spock to RYAN and he told my mate the pin outs and one of them was dead . his car ran with the plug off so have a good look i think you will find its the same problem
