right have a go at this my mate had the same as you have on a escort 4x4 cosworth and it was one of the wires going to the dizey it had brock right at the plug it was not till he spock to RYAN and he told my mate the pin outs and one of them was dead . his car ran with the plug off so have a good look i think you will find its the same problem
