transit tdci
can any one tell me how to bleed the fuel system on a ford transit 51 plate 2.4 tdci, just fitted a new engine and it wont start have checked the system for faults using a snap on scanner i think the fuel isnt getting to the injectors, thanks dave
I know that on the focus's and anything with that engine that there is like an 11 digit number that has to be programmed to the ecu. But i dont think that it is the same for the transit. As for bleeding them they are a nightmare. You have to crack all four pipes at the injectors and crank it over but they are very stubborn. I know its naughty but at work if we get one that wont go we use easy start.
Also make sure that the fuel filter is full. Just take the filter off and fill it with diesel.
Although as above i do think that the fuel pump has to be programmed to the ecu and so on.
