WHAT IS INVOLVED IN PUTTING A MK5 RS2000 ENGINE AND RUNNING GEAR INTO A MK5 VAN?

 

quite alot fella im doing this conversion soon ive picked the rs 2000 up



lump should go in without to much trouble
then the tank is gonna be a head ache
gotta run new fuel lines (i am )
loom i am splicing in the mk5 engine loom into my mk6 van
ive got a digi speedo so that should be fun to wire up

 

y dnt u just put the full loom out of the rs2000 in instead.thats wat iam planning on doing

 

you can use a full loom
but ive got a mk6 van with an airbag which i would like to keep and i dont like the mk5 switchs and dash fella

 

in wat way will the tank be a headache?

 

our vans use a lift pump ie (vacum)

where as a petrol car uses a fuel pump to pump the fuel into the engine bay
so you will have to make a return for the tank and also have to try and mod a petrol tank to fit like the mk5 or 6 tanks have the pumps in the tank where as a s1 or 2 have a pump on the outside
