Default Puma with idling probs

hi,

kinda new to puma ownership but old to ford ownership

My 98 1.7 puma with 69k seems to have developed a idle problem it comes and goes and the car never turns off the performance is fine too. the rev counter jumps up and down between 500-1500revs if i switch the lights on or a/c its sorts it self out again.

Any ideas about what it could be?

my wife put in super unleaded by mistake and as far as i can tell the problem has started since then..

the plugs and leads are new.

Have read other posts about it but no idea where these sensors talked about are and how to check them.

Any help will be very appreciated!

It should be on your throttle body im sure its held on by to 8mm bolts. Get some brake cleaner n give it a good clean out also try a bit of wd40 to give it a bit of lubrication.
