Default escort turbocharger

About 2 years ago i bought a new turbo from a reputable dealer. I havn't done that much mileage in the car because of engine problams and so on. The problam i have with the turbo is that the nuts which fasten the elbow to the turbo housing keep coming loose and hence it starts to blow. Now these are supposed to be locking nuts arn't they. Does anyone else have this problem?

What car is it, i'm presuming new nuts were used? If not they will come loose.

It's an escort mk 4. Yes the nuts were new. Someone's told me to put more nuts on and lock them together, and this should stop them coming loose.

you can't put nyloc nuts on there as they melt. Use loctite and double nut it! won't come undone then!

There not Nyloks They should look like nirmal nuts but the holes are oval at the to and this stops them from comin undone, loctite never hurt though

I have only known this to happen when using a Mongoose or Scorpion exhaust.

I'll have to try loctite now because the threads arn't long enough to put more nuts on.
