Quick question- OHC under the rocker cover

Default Quick question- OHC under the rocker cover

Is there suppost to be a pool of oil under the rocker cover around the springs?? like in my pics, and is everything normal here .

That looks perfectly normal, it's when you don't have any oil there you need to worry as the spray bars can get blocked if oil changes are neglected!!

correct as tab says-also available is a better spray bar for h/performance applications.prone to not getting enough oil to the front !!or was it the back???

I think it was any hole as the feed is from the centre outwards, there is a bar you can get with a tiny filter built in from, I think burtons ?
I always use FLUSH prior to any oil change so never had a problem.

Get yourself a proper tappet adjuster spanner it is so much easier!!
Ace engine one of the best ever IMO along with x/flow.
A 40DFI can work wonders on these when tuned, I always used them instead of 38dgas.

does the 40DFI fit on the std inlet manifold, and does it fit well without much grinding for the larger size?
looks good, a lot more OEM

I seem to remember it fits straight in place of a 32/36, but will not work with a std engine, was the performance upgrade for essex v6.
Finding one is another matter though now.
