Griding sound

Default Griding sound

I get this grinding sound like metal on metal when driving slowly as in without any revs when you put the clutch down (as in pedal) it goes also when idling with clutch up there is a whining is this the release bearing? it goes when you put the clutch down can they be related? P.S its an esc cos

sounds like either release bearing or maybe lay shaft bearing.my series one used to eat lay shaft bearings for a passtime.

sounds like the release bearing try that first its much cheaper

Sounds like release bearing is shot. Get it fixed as soon as before you knacker the input shaft as well!!
