Default Brake upgrade help

Hi all

I've just done Hi-Spec 4 pot cailpers 310mm upfront and cosworth rear disc conversion (not vented) running through wilwood bias valve. Master cylinder and servo from escort rs turbo but seem to be having problems with brake travel. Cant get pressure on the brake peddle until i pump up and down few times then leave couple of seconds then travel almost to the floor again. Have bled system god knows how many times but still no joy so now i'm thinking the mast cylinder is not up to the job? Anyone know what master cylinder i could use on a mk4 escort van?

cheers
pete

the cossie rear disc conversion is your problem - I'll bet the rear caliper bleed nipples aren't the highest point, so trapping air when you bleed them

undo the caliper mounting bolts and rotate the caliper around slightly so that the bleed nipple is at its highest and bleed the brakes again

I've got the rear setup like this, you still think this could be the problem and not the master cylinder man enough?

yes - the air will collect above the bleed nipple whatever the pressure
