Default Resetting Fiesta Mk6 engine computor

I have heard that if you disconnect the battery and leave disconnected for 15min then reconnect and start car and leave ticking over for 10min, then take for a 5 mile run that this is suppose to reset the engine computor to the proper settings again and the car should run better....

Can anyone confirm this please???????????

If you disconnect the ECU by removing battery lead it will indeed lose it's KAM settings.
You will most likely have a seperate fuse for KAM anyway, so just pull this instead a lot easier.
KAM is KEEP ALIVE MEMORY.

in theory it will run better as it will re-learn its settings again , its a good idea if you have fitted an induction kit etc etc but if your car is running poorly due to a failed sensor and the like , its not going to help you
