has any1 seen the later ib5 main shaft in a bc g/box(rs tubo) i no the casing has to b machined to except the bigger bearing but just wona no if the pinion gear has the same amount of teeth as the rst (17 teeth)so i can run the lsd still cheers

 

i believe it does, because you can only use a S2 LSD with the IB5 internals, the S1 has a different crown wheel & pinion because of the shorter final drive ratio.

 

You can change the crown wheel anyhow if needed. If you have to depends on the final drive the IB5 had.

 

What crown wheel do you use? Custom made?

because the S1 unit only has 6 bolts whereas the S2 unit has 8 bolts.

 

The bolt pattern so easy to change, both to the crown wheel or the LSD casing. Both have been done if needed. Easier though to just use the corect LSD to start with.

 

hi im using 65 toothed 8 bolt fixing crown wheel(standard rst)rang sum well named companys today for a little info but tried to make me spend$$$instead beause if i no wot and wot not to do i can do it myself and save a fortune!
