Default engine missfire

Hi guys i have been running the engine recently and is has developed a misfire.

i have put new plugs in(NGK) changed the HT leads.

will be changing the dizzy cap tonight and also looking to seal all the vacum pipes on the engine.

is there anything obvious that it could be as when driving the car once it gets to about 4000/4500rpm it clears and no misfire but below 4000/4500 there is a terrible misfire, and it is a consistant misfire.

so obviosly there is nothing wrong with the engine itself as when it clears it goes like stink as a 2.0l DOHC should. so i assume it is eaither electrical or to do with a leaking vacum.

so is there anything else that i could have a look at if all the above does not cure it.

thanks

Is it a Rover Turbo or a Kawasaki Z1000?
