Hi Passionford
I am building a new engine for my Sierra Cosworth gr. A rally car,
but I have a problem to choose the right camshafts for my engine.
In Denmark we have very fast tarmac special stages, the optimal
Engine for this SS will have a max torque at 5.500 rpm and top
Speed( about 215 km/t) of the car at 7.500 rpm.
What type of camshafts do you recommends for my new
Engine, I prefer wider torque band than horsepower du to the
34 mm restrictor.
Engine specifications:
· Gas flowed cylinder head 4x4, std valves
· Compression ratio 8,5:1
Engine management system with ALS.
· Sierra Cosworth 4x4 Garret T03 gr. A turbo with 34 mm
restrictor (IAW Danish Rally regulation) and std intercooler
I look forward to hear from you.
Best regards
