im thinking bout buying a set of low comp pistons for my series 2 rs turbo,i have got a stage 2 turbo kent cam,grs intercooler im only running 15psi at the mo coz havent had it set up, would it be worth me fitting sum low comp pistons,i dont want 2 run massive boost coz need it 2 be reliable coz its my every day car proberly turn it up to about 18psi at the most.dont wana push my stadard pistons to the limit.

if the standard pistons are in good nick they'll easily handle 18 psi matey. i wouldn't lower the comp ratio on that boost level myself as you'll only end up losing the lower end torque making it crappy off boost. if you wanna fit forged pistons for peace of mind then get some that retain the standard comp ratio of 8.2:1.

as above mate, definately no point in fitting low comp pistons if you are not planning on running silly amounts of boost. i looked into this when i rebuilt mine and was told not too, as homer j said you will loose a small amount of power if you were to run the same boost you currently run,
in the end i went for forged pistons using the same compression ratio and
im glad i did as my car seems to have slightly more power than alot of people running similar boost with low comp pistons and more aggressive cams and turbos.
