oil turbo feed pipe problem

Default oil turbo feed pipe problem

hi all im new to this site so here goes i have a mk4 escort xr3i cabriolet but i have fitted a rs turbo lump init but not yet finished it a freind of mine told me to make sure oil was comin up the oil retern pipe from the oil presure switch but there is non coming up so do ne of you know the problem is there a valve that releses when you screw the pipe on to both ends and how does the oil pump work does it rum off a relay or ne thing cheers

erm not sure you should be turboing a car not knowing what needs piping up really, but what you have to do is take a feed from a T piece near the oil pressure switch and take it to the top of the turbo, from the bottom of the turbo is the return to the sump.

If you have fitted the pipe to the oil pressure T piece and no oil is coming out when running you have serious problems and no oil pressure.

Firstly, thats the OIL FEED not the return pipe

And have you actually had the engine running or are you trying to get oil up it just from cranking it on the starter?

yer im just cranking it over on the starter and the engine is a tubro engine mate

The oil pump could be a bit lazy you might not see any oil coming out of it just from cranking
