my s2 heater is crap the temp gauge will be half way and when u turn the heater on the air is warm for 30 secs then goes cold any ideas?

blocked heater matrix or air the cooling system ( needs to be bleed out.)

 

It could be thermostat or check if u have a thermostat in it.

 

i have to agree with velocity, if you look at the bulk head practaly opposite the oil filter theres two hoses that go into and out of the heater matrix, try and stick a hose through them and flush any gunk out, but if its not flowing around it then i'm afraid its a dash out jobbie to replace the matrix
